Hello Everyone!
Happy New Year!
On January 9, 2024, the IFA Executive Board had a zoom meeting to make decisions moving forward from January 9, 2024. It was very productive and will make IFA stronger in 2024.
We thank all of you for your input during the GA meeting in Kuala Lumpur at the 2023 IFA World Championship. All of us are moving forward as a great Team in the promotion of Armwrestling!
Discussed and decided are the adjustments in some of the weight classes. I have attached he updated weight divisions.
We also in the process of finding a solution for the problems with the IFA website.
In addition, it has been decided that (starting Jan. 9, 2024) that at all IFA World Armwrestling Championships, if the athlete is competing in the Masters/Junior divisions on the first 2 days of competition AND in the Senior/Disabled the last 2 days a second weigh-in is required. The second weigh-in will be scheduled the day before, during the break between eliminations and finals, on the day before the Senior/Disabled competition starts. The second weigh-in is only for those competing all 3 or 4 days. Not for those only competing in the Senior or Disabled classes.
Please remember that the IFA Executive Board always has the athletes and Member countries in mind when we make decisions, and that all of us volunteer to do the best we can.
As always, if you have any questions or suggestions to please reach out to the IFA Executive Board.
Thanks so much for your time.
Enjoy your day,
