"Someone" didn't like it...

"Someone" has posted the information in the Swedish armwrestling group. The complaint is to the disciplinary board of the Swedish martial arts federation that the Swedish armwrestling belongs to. It works like a court, if someone has a complaint all sides are heard first, and then they decide if something has been done wrong. So at the moment there is no punishment, just a complaint to be handled.

Carolina wrote an emotional post in the media:

"I am so sorry to inform you that the conflict that IFA-WAF creates has led to me being reported to the disciplinary board for belonging to the “wrong” organization, since I am part of WAF. After all my investments and love for this sport, this is truly hurtful, and I am honestly sad. Working full time, doing PhD, raising kids, spending your little spare time in the gym and becoming a WAF World Champion in the biggest organization of your sport, only for someone to say you cant represent your country, because again, wrong organisation, is tough. It is an unfortunate turn that I didn’t expect. It is not an action by the Swedish armwrestling federation (IFA), but someone who was on the board until recently. It is though, an elongation of the conflict and has major effect for me as an individual and athlete. I feel tired."

As a result, few people understand what it is all about. So I asked Anna Mazurenko (IFA Vice President) for her opinion.

Anna Mazurenko:

"I wanted to clarify that neither Carolina nor any other armwrestler in the world has ever been and will never be banned from the IFA for participating in competitions organized by other organizations. This is against the rules and mission of the IFA. You clearly misinterpreted Carolina's post. I repeat that there has never been and will never be a case of a ban from the IFA because such a concept does not exist in our organization. As for Caroline, she is an independent woman and a titled athlete who has the exclusive right to decide about her sports career and speak on her own behalf. That is why I do not comment on this situation, because I do not have the competence or the right to do so. It has nothing to do with the IFA organization."
