Right from the beginning this fight has brought us a lot of excitement. Many arm wrestling experts gave the advantage to Ion Oncescu from Romania. His quick top roll attacks were the key to his win during the European Championships in Bulgaria and in other international events. Ion himself was also sure of winning before the fight.

 
Michael Todd on the other hand has said before the fight:

“If I will be able to withstand Ion’s hand then I won’t give away any round”

After the fight which took place on the 19th of June in the TapOut Sport’s Centre in Las Vegas it’s hard not to agree with the American puller. Michael Todd has shown us some great preparation especially his side pressure which allowed him to push his arm to the side pad with his wrist crooked.

He has block everything that Ion has tried and the strap matches looked even better for Todd.

“In some cases Ion could have won. At least the fight would not have ended 6:0. Sometimes Ion had an advantage but could not press Michael’s hand to the side pad. He was also unable to fight with Todd in the hook. Michael’s hook turned out to be way stronger. To draw in the future or win against Todd, Ion has to re-think his strategy”.

The whole right arm fight has finished with a crushing victory of Michael Todd. It was easy to see that he was well prepared both from the technique and strength side.
