Once again the Polish armwrestlers, and actually one - Mariusz Podgorski has proven that our national Armwrestling is on a high sport level . On the 26th February 2011 in a Swedish town of Eskilstuna an international tournament Golden Arm Championship from which Mariusz brought 2 gold medlas, was held the .

In the twenty second tournamnets in turn, more than 120 armwrestlers from such countries as Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, or hosts, or Sweden appeared. Among them, our only representative - Mariusz Podgorski from Warsaw starting in the 70kg class.

"Competition in Sweden is a great organizational failure. I am thinking above all of a high starts fee, because as much as 400 crown (about 180 zł). Additionally, unfortunately, no prize money or in kind, only the cups and medals. With such a big fee it is probably a bit too little. And the audience could come and watch games for a fee payment of about 50 zł"- said Mariusz Podgorski after the return.

"In terms of occupations the level was even quite high.

I personally had no problems beating rivals. For the left hand I easily won gold. For the right my wrist injury renewed. So it was a little harder, but that did not stop me from getting another gold medal. In the higher classes a representation of Kazakhstan, which in this competition came in rather numerous composition, made quite a mess. Big problems had the current vice world champion of the right hand of up to 75 kg class - Amolinis Janis from Latvia, who meet on his the way the current vice world champion of the left hand as well as of the up to 75 kg class - Seifulla Nurkhalikhov from Kazakhstan. Fights were really fierce, but a competitor from Latvia proved to be the top"- Mariusz continuen.

Now Mariusz is expecting several weeks rehabilitation of the right hand. But it was definitely worth to fight to the end. As you can rarely, after all, be proud of this result: 4 gold medals at two tournaments in one month (in the beginning of February Mariusz won two gold medals in Czech Tournament - Golem Hand).
