On the 4th of March 2010 Alexey Voevoda (Russia) at special press conference in Krasnodar (Russia) announced the end of his bobsleigh sports career. During the conference he did not hide that he would like to get involved in preparations for Winter Olympic Games – Sochi 2014.

Alexey Voevoda ensured us that he is not giving up sport entirely. Now he is going to really focus on armwrestling trainings.

During the recent meeting in Moscow (on the 17th of March 2010) of the main PAL promoter Igor Mazurenko and Alexey Voevoda, the Russian competitor confirmed his will to start at armwrestling tournaments for the title of the PAL (Professional Armwrestling League)organization World Champion. As of yet dates are not specified. Although there are premises that we might be able to see the titled competitor at this year’s World Professional Cup - Nemiroff World Cup 2010.

But there is one problem that during judo trainings Alexey hit the floor with his right elbow and got injured (the small elbow bone chipped off and stubbed into the muscles surrounding the elbow). As of yet he is going to be operated on, and as the specialists said: after rehabilitation the operation should not have any negative impact on his armwrestling trainings and starts.

So we are waiting impatiently to see the further sports career of this talented Russian competitor.
