25 year ago came a cult film with Sylvestr Stallone – “Over the Top”. But hardly anyone knows that in an advertisement of the film Sylwester organized a real World Armwrestling Championships, which award was a truck – won by the character of the scenario. Since that time there was no such a tournament where the award was over 100.0000 dolars.

Thanks to the Russian law team "RUSARTARHIV" they managed to organize the A1 RUSSIAN OPEN tournament – the most prestigious and the most costly project in the world of Armwrestling. It was created on the basis of a well known concept of martial arts (K-1, K-1) and races (F1), A1 RUSSIAN OPEN combines traditions of the best world sports and entertainment events.

Know-how A1 RUSSIAN OPEN is a selection of the absolute champion in a combined system of the tournament, which merges a traditional scheme of the double-elimination with ARMFIGHT. And the main feature of the tournament is an elimination criterion – only the players who have the champion’s level of training may take part.

For the first time in the history of the commercial Armwrestling event classes for disabled and sportsmen with limited abilities of motion were planed.

Not only great shows of well known sportsmen but also well know performers and a possibility to participate in armlifting competitions await all A1 audience. The tournament will be conducted by a well known martial arts champion and actor Siergiej Badyuk.

A multiple Word champion, double Olympic bobsleigh medalist ( silver 2006, bronze 2010) Alexey Voevoda will take part in the opening ceremony.

The main candidates for winning the open class are: Dennis Cyplenkov – a famour wrestrer, the Russian absolute champion and World Professionals’ Champion, and Andrey Pushkar – fifteen-times world and European champion (Ukraine). However we shouldn’t forget of the very talented and titled players of the world Armwrestling who will come to this one of the kind armwrestling tournament in large numbers. To remind you – the prize pool was equal to 113 000 $ USD.
