Accomplished Master of Sports, Hetag Dzitiyev, is dangerous to opponents in his class. Once the audience could admire his fights with Vadim Akperov, but now Vadim is in a heavier category. But on the last WCs, Hetag has met a new opponent – a Kazakhstan fighter, Zair Akhmedov, who pushed him to second place in right arm.

There are good fighters, serious rivals in our category – says Hetag. – I knew it would be hard to place 1st, so I was really serious about this tournament. I’m not happy with my scores, but it was a good experience. I won’t make the same mistakes again.

Many bad words were spoken about the organization of this tournament, and the president of WAF. The lack of medals was the worst for the contestants. For Hetag, there was another problem, too.

Of course I was very saddened by the medal fiasco – says Hetag. But I was just downright furious with the refereeing! I give it 1 out of 5! Refs in tournaments of this level should not make such stupid mistakes. It was frustrating to have my teammates punished by such stupid decisions. A fighter spend years fighting for his title, and then he also has to fight with the referees!

Hetag is certain that a master title has to be earned, so a sportsman has to like what they do, then they don’t have to wait long to reap their rewards. For the time being, Hetag is just gathering his strength.

Future plans? Regenerate and heal injuries from this season – says Hetag.
