How did you start your story in armwrestling? When?
As for me, I love this sport and I have been doing this sport since I was in high school, at the age of 17. So for 21 years, wow that is a long time.

20110817173951_jerry4.jpgHow did it happen that you started to compete in Poland and what do you think of Poland?
I have never been to Poland, but i have many friends there. It is a beautiful place, I'm excited to go!

Why haven’t we seen you in Europe since few years?
I only have limited vacation time with work, therefore what time I have I usually use with my family. To go to Europe is time consuming and expensive.

How do you perceive the sports level of European competitors today?
The Europeans are kicken ass lately, I am excited to meet and compete with them.

Do you prefer to compete in regular tournaments, or in the Armfight system (multi-round)?
I have no preference on the event system, just in a reg meet someone could have a much harder bracket than someone else to have a big influence on the victory.

What do you think about John Brzenk? Do you think that he will finish his sport (armwrestling) activity?
John is an icon, he is now approaching almost 50 years old, so his better years are behind him. But he is still a hero to many.

Is Nemiroff World Cup a tournament comparable to the Golden Bear, or isit better and what does the start at Nemiroff World Cup mean for you?
the Nemiroff cup is prob one of the biggest events of the year, to win this is epic.

Who is the biggest opponent for you in Nemiroff 2011? Do you affraid someone?
My biggest opponent should either be Dennis or Pushkar, I'm not sure which as of yet. But either way I am training hard, trying to mix it up a bit. I am doing off the charts training, more old school stuff this time around.

Who do you think can get the Open Class trophy for left and for right hand this year?
My prediction would be it comes down to Travis and Dennis left handed, and then for the right hand, I would say Dennis gets the runner up, and the winner I have to go with myself, as I am not traveling that far to loose. Lol

20110817173951_jerry6.jpgDo you intend to fight with Denis Cyplenkov and how would you rate this competitor?
Denis is huge, and I am excited to pull him. He reminds me of Thing from fantastic four, just a solid rock. Should be an interesting match.

Could you tell us something more about you? In Poland there is a lot of people who didn't know you more. Where do you work and what you do every day?
I am a general manager at an automobile dealership.

Do you have children? If so, do they wrestle like you?
I have 3 kids, they armwrestle with each other, and they are very good at it, but never did it in a meet, YET! Lol

Do you drink alcohol? What kind of?
I drink Vodka (grape flavor) with sprite.

What car do you drive? Do you have a motorcycle?
I have a Cadillac Escalade, love it.

It is often heard that you have won many things in your life. Is this true? What is the most expensive prize you won? You can sum up a little all of your awards?
I have been fortunate in this sport, and only lost a handful of matches. I have trained harder lately than I ever have, so with that I feel I am better now than I ever was. Before I just competed a lot without training hard, now a train a lot and compete less! Much better! The biggest prize was the $15,000 prize with me and Travis. I have about 350 trophies now, with so many titles it is amazing. I love it.

Are you a recognized person in the United States?
I am recognized over here, it is cool. Mostly by local people, and then only by armwrestlers throughout the US.

Have you ever thought of ending your career?
I did stop competing and training for over 3 years, but Travis's bantering brought me back, that and $15,000 on the line. Lol

At what tournaments will we be able to see you in 2011?
I have done a few meets so far this year, and I am doing a few more as well. I have to do one that well qualify me for the arnolds, and probably a local one here and there, along with the next UAL, and of course this one in POLAND!!!
