Armpower: Is this your first start at this event? Is this a distinction for you?
Marcin Skalski: Yes, I am starting at Nemiroff for the first time. Taking into consideration my training time which is 1,5 year, I feel really appreciated being able to start among such a good company.

Armpower: What do you think of yourself in the rivalry with the best world’s competitors?
Marcin Skalski: It will be an extremely hard tournament whereas my weight class +95kg will be for sure well stuffed. I will for sure approach each fight with the will to win, not passing up any clash.  As of yet, I have comparative strength in the right and in the left hand.

Armpower: What does your preparatory training look like?
Marcin Skalski: Marcin Lachowicz. metes out my preparations. Depending on the preparation level he adjusts my training to particular tournaments. I training 3-4 times a week, of which one is dedicated to general development exercises. During the training I put equal emphasis on all the fighting techniques (hook, top, triceps). I am focus on diversity. Weights at the present are as follows:

Marcin Skalski: In case of the left hand there is only one favorite  - Denis Cyplenkov. Wheras for right hand everything will depend on how much strength would the competitors have after each weight classes. I think of such names as: Brzenk,Pushkar, Liliev, Cyplenkov, Babaev.

Armpower: Which representative of the Polish National Team has the biggest chances for a gold medal, and do we have chances for any medals?
Marcin Skalski: Of course we have chances for medals. In my opinion we will win at this year’s world cup some medals, however none of them would be gold (although I would like to be wrong).

Armpower: What can you tell the Polish fans to encourage them to come at Nemiroff World Cup?

Marcin Skalski: Nemiroff World Cup is a tournament of an unusual atmosphere. I think that any tv broadcast is not able to donate the emotions experienced while watching the world’s best competitors in the direct rivalry. Magnificent audio and visual setting. It all makes this tournament falls for long in the memory of both spectators and participants of the event.
