The 4th Lubuskie Championships # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

Lubuskie Vojvodeship Armwrestling Championships took place for the 4th time. This time they were organized by the city of Żary and the UKS Szaki Żary Club (so far the Championships were organized by UKS Złoty Orzeł Choszczno). This year’s edition initiators were the participants of the Żary Armwrestling Club themselves - Rafał Fiołek and Sławomir Szkoła. Żary Association ‘‘Tobie i Miastu” and the Town Cuncil of city Żary gave their helping hands as usual.

The tournaments took place on 22^nd August 2009 in the Recreational-Service Centre "AMBER" in Żary. That day 40 competitors from all over the country representing the following clubs: Tytan Jaworzno, Złoty Orzeł Choszczno, SDS Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Herakles Wałbrzych and UKS Szaki Club Żary, started in the tournaments. There were 7 weight categories (men right hand: up to 63kg, 78kg, 95kg, and +95kg, men left hand: OPEN, women right hand: up to 55kg and +55kg.

Apart from the competitors training Armwrestling diurnally a lot of amateurs who proved their strength beating more experienced colleagues participated the tournaments. Of course many titled Polish competitors who showed the audience the of Armwrestling at the high level, did not miss the direct rivalry. For many observers and experts of Armwrestling it was clear that high sports level and very good form of the competitors were shown during the tournaments in Żary. After the rivalry the organizers were nicely surprised by the attendance and fights full of emotions and adrenalin. It looks as if the tournament is permanently in the calendar of events organized by Szaki Żary Club in our country. That is what we wish us, them and competitors themselves as there is no better trainee that a healthy sport competition at various tournaments. Additionally when the organization is as good as in Żary it is much more nicely for the competitors to take part. Results in the section: Scores of our page.
