Armwrestling is getting to be perceived as the major sports discipline in school milieu. Apart from leading football, volleyball, athletics, basketball and others disciplines well known among youth the rivalry at the table is entrenching. And narrowly speaking armwrestling.

It’s no wonder that for the time in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, on the Chairman of Strength Disciplines Association Board - Zbigniew Bartos, who is an activist of Polish Armwrestling Federation’s initiative this year’s rivalry of post-gymnasium schools in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.

 Eliminations in PSC No 3

The interest in the sports discipline is so high that the organizers of this year’s “Post-gymnasium Schools Championships in Tomaszów Mazowiecki” organized the inner schools eliminations On the 10th of February 2010 in a school sports hall the Post-gymnasium School Complex No 3 first cracked at.   Thanks to the cooperation of physical education teacher Michał Pietrzyk and goodwill of the director of the school Mirosław Fajfer the inauguration of high schools armwrestling championships in Tomaszów Mazowiecki took place in a very popular in the city  “samochodówka”, which are going to select the school Armwrestling champions of  Tomaszów Mazowiecki.

In summary 45 competitors started. The rivalry took place for right hand only in five boys classes: up to 63kg, up to 70kg, up to 78kg, +78kg, open and one girl class: open. The competitions were very popular, and the winners of each classes were awarded with medals and commemorative diplomas.

Eliminations in the 1st Grammar School:

On the next day (the 11th of February 2010) after the tournaments in PSC No 3 the next school rivalry took place. This time armwrestling visited the 1st Grammar School in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.
 
Eliminations in the school took place on two students: Krzysztof Boczek and Damian Rudziński’s initiative. They were the ones who decided with the help of Zbigniew Bartos to bear a burden of the organization.

In all 52 competitors, 37 boys and 15 girls, took part in the championships. Similarly as on the previous day (rivalry in PSC No 3) competitors fought in five boys weight  classes: up to 63kg, up to 70kg, up to 78kg, +78kg, open and one girl class: open. As distinct from struggles at the professional table in the previous school, this time the boys open class rivalry took place for left hand. The rest of the classes were fought off for the right hand.
