Dear armwrestling lovers. Not long ago we were able to watch quite interesting event (14-03-2010 Turkey) which was the six rounds social meeting Arsen Lilijev (Russia) vs John Brzenk (the USA). A lot of you jumped to the conclusions about the fight.
“As the major PAL promoter and the person who agreed for the duel I would like to inform you that the result of the duel does not influence the rank of these to competitors. the duel was the social one so without any title or television. It was only about to show the current sports abilities of these two competitors” – said Igor Mazurenko from Poland after the fight.
In order to make the final decision of who is the strongest and the best of this weight class (up to 95kg right hand) Arsen Lilijev would have to meet Rustam Bayev (Ukraine) at the six rounds elimination duel this year.
And during the fight for the title and belt of the PAL World Champion will for sure fight John Brzenk and the winner of the elimination duel (so Arsen Lilijev or Rustam Bayev).
“There were a lot of claims about the organization of the duel in Turkey but I want to say once more that it was only the social meeting of two main challengers for the title of the PAL organization World Champion of up to 95kg right hand class. Such a duel could as well take place at one of the clubs’ training halls where apart from the ones who are interested no one else would be able to see the event. There are no doubts that the official duel is much different that the social one and its result influences the PAL rank" – Igor Mazurenko continued.
Of yet we can for sure affirm that Arsen Lilijev is a very good candidate to the title and belt of the PAL organization World Champion of up to 95kg right hand class and as we know John Brzenk, he is preparing for the official duel for not only 100% but even 200%, as he proved more than once at many various tournaments, fights and duels by the table.
