On the 7th of August the first of three Seaside Tournaments organized by the Strongest Woman in Poland Marlena Wawrzyniak (UKS Arm Fanatic Sport Grudziądz) and All -Poland Adults School Chain “Twoja-Szkoła” took place. The place of the tournaments was Przystań Żywiec (a bar near the beach) in Kołobrzeg. That weekend was the time of the increased presence of the tourists in that beautiful seaside town. The confirmation of that were arrival problems of many competitors caused by huge traffic jams. However everything began according to the plan. 35 competitors of the armwrestling top drawer appeared in 7 classes. The rivalry was begun by women at OPEN left hand class. 5 women of the Polish armwrestling lead started. The great absent one was the organizer of the tournaments Marlena Wawrzyniak, who does not start at any of the tournaments because of her function. So the referees’ panel Daniel Gajda and Jakub Gralak began the competitions. The best for left hand turned to be Marta Opalińska being under Martyna’s charge, who entered the cup-final with no lost and there met and beat her club mate Milena Morczyńska. Aleksandra Lewandowska from Złoty Tur Gdynia classed herself on the last step of the podium. Then was the men’s time. Many titled competitors who reached the podium of the Polish Championships or international tournaments came to Kołobrzeg. After many stiff fights the first one was Radosław Staroń - a gladiator form Ostróda. He showed a great will of fight and dynamic. The 2nd appeared Rafał Woźny, who came here from far away Głuszyca. Łukasz Biegun had to be satisfied with the brown medal. Gathered audience were again able to see women by the table but this time for right hand. Małgorzata Ostrowska from Strzegom entered the cup-final with no lost. She met Milena Morczyńska at the table. Although Małgosia lost the first fight she did not give up the first place and due to her experience and strength managed to win the second final fight. Marta Opalińska ranked third. After the end of women rivalry the time for men’s classes came.

In -78kg class well known Dawid Bartosiewicz from Złoty Orzeł Choszczno turned to be unbeatable and even Radosław Staroń could not manage him. Dawid was very well prepared and in a far way to win as usually. Young Jarosław Grulkowski won the brown medal disc. In a heavier -95kg class the winner was Łukasz Obłuski from Gdynia. Dariusz Niciński won the silver medal followed by Łukasz Radomski with the brown one. In +95kg class Wiesław Łącki entered the cup-final unexpectedly and met there his son-in-low Artur Głowiński. This time the gallant chairman of Złoty Orzeł had to recognize the superiority of the fighter form Choszczno and had to satisfy himself with the second place. Łukasz Biegun from far away Cieszyn took the last step of the podium and could add the next medal of these tournaments to his collection. In OPEN class Artur Głowiński turned to be unrivalled beating well prepared Rafał Woźny in the final round. Łukasz Radomski classed himself on the third place. Unfortunately during the tournaments in Kołobrzeg a huge rainstorm broke out. The most of the people hid in a bar. And microphone, computer and music player were disconnected. Despite all these the rivalry was fought off till the end. Lastly a mini tournament for the beer box, up to one lost, was held in rush. Two more women appeared at the table: Marta Opalińska and Gosia Ostrowska but men were fighting obstinately and eliminated both of the women form the rivalry for the gold drink. Łukasz Obłuski who said “I deserved that for such taught trainings” turned to be the best. Of course as befits a gentleman shared with the others with the award. We would like to congratulate the winners and thank everyone for participation and arrival to Kołobrzeg.
