Tomasz Szewczyk (POL) vs Stefan Lengarov (BUL)
In the first round Lengarov had the control over Szewczyk both on hand and rotator. Lengarov felt that he had to keep himself near the table to be able to apply more power on his opponent's arm but this helped Szewczyk to recover his hand and by this he supported his already strong arm. In the strap Szewczyk was able to use his hand in a better way to hook and beat his opponent. Lengarov could have continued more but he realized that he had no chance to win and he decided not to spend his power on such hopeless position.
In the second round Lengarov made the right decision and directly attacked on his opponent's hand by getting away as far as possible and won the round.
In the third round Szewczyk realized that he needed a strap to use his hand.
In straps it looked like a close match under Lengarov's control even though Szewczyk's strength helped him to hold on. Lengarov was smart enough to keep Szewczyk's hand away from his shoulder and tired him out with small pumps to win the round.
In the fourth round Szewczyk showed that by pulling the third round in a bad position, he finished all he got. He fought but in this round he had no control at all and Lengarov won again.
In the fifth round Lengarov easily won against his exhausted opponent.
During the sixth round Szewczyk tried a dead wrist shoulder press which ended with an elbow foul on Lengarov. The second try ended up with a slip. In the straps his first shoulder press try was effective but once he got stopped, Lengarov again got the control and won the match.
Szewczyk is a powerful guy but his hand control is not good enough to support his upper arm strength. Lengarov is a very good armwrestler, he reminds me Golemanov.
