Marlena Wawrzyniak about her experiences of Nemiroff World Cup 2011:

My way of preparation was polished and well thought from the point of the World Cup, but five days before the take offs I had got ill, I was forbidden to travel because of severe weakness of the body, I realized the health risks, as well as I would not be able to show my true form. This start will remember in a special way - because I have never been mechanically maintained to fight. It was the fight with as well myself as my opponents. Here I would like to thank my friends and players who helped, supported and cared about me, so that I could recover as soon as possible: Magda Czyzo that medically picked me up, so that I would be able to hang on at least one day of fighting, as well as Mariusz Opalinski Instalmet – the main sponsor of departure to the World Cup.

The first day, in spite of obstacles, was a success, both Slawek Malas and I, won the wonderful bronze medal and I believe that a moment that Marta Opalińska will join us with a next medal to the World Cup medal pool.

My view on fights of the Poles?
Full of determination, ambition, stubbornness and a heart for fighting. Once again, congratulations to Radek Staron - silver for the second time - third time lucky - in 2012 it will be gold :-), also Mariusz Podgorski and Tom Szewczyk very close to a medal. I think that Nemiroff 2012 enriches – the medal pool will increase for Polish players.

Best fights in my opinion?
Many fights will go down in history – they were an amazing spectacle, full of emotions and unforgettable sensations. Among other Zoloev vs Babayev or against Jerry Cadorette did this, as well as the final fight A. Pushkar. vs D. Cyplenkov.

My second day?
I would like to wipe out the memory on the second day, but memories keep coming back... I really wanted to fight, but I lost due to the illness, as well as at the table .. While my competitor compensated me everything winning in a battle style the World Cup silver disc.

What I will do now?
Nom I am slowly returning to health and to practice.
