The level of the competitions has been increasing over a span of eight years: the number of competitors increases, the geography of competitors changes, the sports level increases, the organizational level of the tournaments improves. ()
On the 15th-16th January 2012 a town of Lotoshino, near Moscow, a tournament devoted to the memory of Vitaly Sorokin took place for the eight time on the trot. The award pool is increasing with each tournament. This year it reached an amount of 455 000 roubles (about 15 000$), while the overall cost of the event was 580 000 roubles (almost 20 000$). Players will fight on left and right arm in a biathlon system (the sum of the left and right)
In 60kg class the unquestioned winner was the Junior World Champion 2009 – MC Michaił Tovmasyan
In 70kg class the fight between MSMK
Siergiey Nikitchenko from Osetia, and MS Dmitriy Motorinemi , Akbarov representing Azerbaijan was home and dry.
In 80kg class the main duel took place between a double European Champion - MSMK Maxim Filipow and a World and European Champion - - ZMS Timur Mamedov. On the left Maxim won and on the right Timur. Finally the winner of the biathlon was Maxim, who was lighter than his opponent.
In 90 kg class, MSMK Alexander Gusov lost with MSMK Roman Filippov in biathlon.
In 100 kg class an unexpected winner was the European Champion 2008 from Elektrostal MS - Andrey Korolev, who beat MSMK Aleksandr Puzakov and MSMK Dzambolat Tsoriev.
In 100 +kg the winner was the current World Champion ZMS from Ukraine - Sergey Tokarev.
Traditionally left and right arm open class took place during the tournament.
On the left arm Ivan Matyushenko won quite easily and beat Roman Filippov and Dzambolat Tsoriev and ZMS the Ukrainian Sergey Tokarev in the cup final.
On the right hand Tokariev was happy to win. The second was Aleksander Gusov! As you see, the level Has been increasing over a spin of eight years: the number of competitors increases, the geography of competitors changes, the sports level increases, the organizational level of the tournaments improves. The organizer of the tournament Victor Gromow said, that next year the award poll won’t decrease!
