When applause falls silence after the champion’s fight on the left arm, when Devon sits among audience to take one more look at his opponent (as if he wasn’t sick and tired of him opposite the table), Tim Bresnan will enter the stage. Pushkar picked up a hard challenge of two duels one evening. They are both extremely important! The first one, we all know why. The second one has also a kind of implied meaning. If Andrey wins the first duel, it’ll be thought that he would – even unwittingly - pass up the. But he won’t! He’s a professional and in spite of tiredness, he will want to fully dominate Las Vegas. However if he loses the first fight, will he remain the will to keep fighting?

Whatever happens, the organizers and Pushkar planed extreme excitement for us!

Andrey Pushkar vs Tim Bresnan, right arm

Tim Bresnan, at the World Championships 2009 in Italy met our Igor Mazurenko in Masters +100 kg class, right arm and it can’t be hidden that he ranked better. He was the first, followed by Gyorgy Sasza and an Englishman Alan Greaves. Mazurenko was 9th. Tim has 8 titles of the USA champion.

Visually… an old man (45 years old)… without any visible musculature… Math’s teacher glasses… but although he has no visible musculature, he has a cubature, height and weight. In fact he is almost a bull! He fits a dignified Harley-Davidson. Who knows, maybe he comes to the tournaments on his motorcycle?

In June 2012 he fought on the right arm with Devon Larratt, in Toronto during the MAJOR LEAGUE Armwrestling tournament. Devon looked as he escaped from the crazy dialecticians camp.

But he in fact won, although many spectators questions referees’ procedure, the Canadians, seemingly too kind for their compatriot.

How does Tim fight?

Using his all mass, attacking with the shoulder first, followed by the arm, coming down under the table and then dominating or trying to dominate. Does he have any weaknesses? I think, he’s not fast. Of course I mean champions’ speed, which can be checked only by few. His advantage is a hook, he is also very resistant he can stand a situation of moving from one side of the table to the other and may contract. But one more note of the “weakness” at the champions’ level – he loses himself tacitly and unnecessarily changes the plan of the fight from the good to bad one. In the fight with Devon he had a better hook, but in some round, without rhyme or reason, he desired to fight in a top-roll and that was what Devon was waiting for! I stress this is a “weakness” that can be reached only by some world armwrestlers. So I write here about strong and weak points only in the context of the competitors on the level of ARMFIGHT #41.

On the right arm with Puszkar… what will it be like? As of yet – every result is possible.

AND YOU?

I’ve asked some familiar armwrestlers of their prognosis about this duel. Most of the bet on Pushkar. Here are some comments.

Travis Bagent: Andrey vs Tim – it will be the best fight of all! I’m sure of that. I think, Tim will also control some first rounds. However, in my opinion this mighty but a old guy will not equal the younger Ukrainian. Andrey is “hungry” for success! The fight will be hard or even brutal. The final result will be 4:2 for Andrey.

Allen Fisher without demur bets on Bresnan.

Mariusz Podgórski bets on Pushkar, but just as Travis he thinks that “Tim will pester Andrey with his way of fight.”
