We’ve written many times about a sever defeat of Andrey Pushkar with Michael Todd in Las Vegas in January. It was later remembered by journalists, also by players taking part in this tournament. Seemingly, when the last round ended Andrey simply motionlessly stood on the street and looked at the moon. It made such an impression on a technical crew, that someone even wanted to call doctor. As a journalist, bound with this sport for a long time, I always try to relay real situations but also to avoid cheap sensation, as it happens in other disciplines. So I wrote rather gently of “looking at the moon”. But it came back in the competitors’ accounts at other tournaments. So, okay! Now, when Andrey’s chance to win back is getting closer, it can be mentioned. But only to pass on the pressure that accompanies the best armwrestlers in champion’s fights.

What’s interesting, the PAL also proposed Devon Larratt the double duel. But he agreed to fight only on one arm, the left one. Tim Bresnan will be acting “a stand-in”, the special stand-in, as he fights on right arm only. Two for one! Will Pushkar be able to endure it?

To make it clear, to gain time for regeneration (of course not full and just general one) for Andrey – the PAL set the duels sequence a little different.

The fight of the evening will be the first one to take place, then following pairs are going to meet: Michael Todd (USA) vs Sergiy Tokarev (Ukraine), kolejno Todd Hutchings (USA) vs Khadzimurad Zoloev (Russia). Then at the end we are going to see regenerated (hopefully) Andrey and fresh Tim. Although the fights are not “classically” set, it still looks to be really exciting.

What do we know now of the preparations of the Ukrainian? The 22^nd European Championships in Poland showed that he went through his weight class on both arms like a roller through the grass. In comparison to Las Vegas, he increased his muscle mass a bit and in comparison to NEMIROFF WORLD CUP 2011 – was calmer. “Otherwise talkative”, so even when you know him well, you won’t hear much of the things he’s interested in. But he doesn’t need to talk.

Not long ago, in the middle of June the armpower.net editorials visited  Pushkar in Ukraine. In February this year, he brought a whole track of MAZURENKO EQUIPMENT device to his gym. Now, the sings of usage can be seen on all the machines - on handles and hilts. Pushkar is a reliable sportsman, having analytical attitude to trading and knowing what and why should be strengthen to become unbeatable.

In the conversation he once again recalled the January Las Vegas. He said it out that he wants to make it up to all who cheered him then and fights TWO BEAUTIFULS DUELS with two following rivals.

What I want to tell you is that I always try to be neutral, but there are exceptions. I support Pushkar, causa I simply like to talk to him For ex ample: Andrey, how are you? “I’m fine”. Such an interview will be made on the 28^th June evening!
