Sensation before the European Championships! ()
Well, sorry… again, a tabloid-like title. Juraj has really slimmed down, though he hasn’t changed his weight class – he’s still in the “plus” class. As reported by our amazing translator of each and every language – Lubomir Jagnesak, Juraj weighs currently only 150 kg! He lost about 5 kg to become faster, to “feel faster”. Juraj feels stronger than ever before. He mostly does strength training. Unfortunately, he lacks an appropriate sparring partner, apart from his brother, who weighs only 170 kg.
Officially, Juraj emphasizes that his only serious rival is Andrey Pushkar.
So Andrey – watch out, Juraj is watching you!
Juraj’s strengths include top roll and side pressure, however he’s been practicing the hook technique and his biceps as well.
Being a blue-collar worker, Juraj has strengthened his hands.
Now, before the competition he focuses on three things: training, food and rest.
Current Michalicka’s strength results:
Bench: 250 kg;
Squat: 300 kg;
Deadlift: 300 kg.
Biceps, Scott’s bench 110 kg.
Wrist 120 kg for 10 reps.
Ľubomír Jagnešák – our translator reports: “Currently is Juraj the strongest MUTANT IN SLOVAKIA!”
Lubo- thanks for your help with the interview!
Andrey Pushkar after the World Championships in 2012: “Actually, only Juraj Michalicka was a tough rival.”
