Today Igor Mazurenko, the President of FAP, was awarded a cup. With this cup the Polish team wanted to express their gratitude to Igor for his contribution into the Polish Armwrestling Federation. It was Mariusz Grochowski, the trainer of the Polish team, who gave the cup to Mazurenko.

Igor is one of the few people in Poland who promotes our sport so actively not only within our country, but all over the world. That’s why we came up with the idea of presenting him with a cup – said Mariusz Grochowski. – Our events are on the top level in terms of organization.

The very fact that so many athletes from all over the world came to Gdynia shows the rank of the event. It is thanks to Igor that our championships are so prestigious. The cup is just a symbol for one cannot value enough the excitement we’re experiencing during every competition. We want Igor to know that we really appreciate his hard work to promote armwrestling all over the world.

Frankly speaking, I’ve got many awards, but never from my people. Thank you very much! – said Igor Mazurenko in a voice filled with emotion.
