Undefeated Denis Cyplenkov and stubborn Devon Larratt. Who can resist the two strongest armwrestlers in the world? ()
Today armwrestling fans know that the strongest athletes in this sport are Denis Cyplenkov and Devon Larratt. Both athletes differ from each other in terms of fighting technique, motivation and psychology.
Denis Cyplenkov’s biography proves he is a very strong athlete who besides armwrestling is also involved in other sports, such as weightlifting. He also practices kettlebell, which explains his fighting style. Denis immediately shows his superiority over his opponents not giving them any chance of winning.
Devon Larratt pays particular attention to armwrestling. He is in no hurry to show his dominance over other athletes. His main goal is to exhaust his opponent, after that he usually wins without much difficulty.
Are these giants a real “symbol” of modern armwrestling? Not really. It seems we have forgotten about an athlete who has repeatedly proven to be one of the best, and maybe the best armwrestler.
Today’s article is going to be about Aleksey Voyevoda. Other athletes usually have only one of two qualities: strength or endurance. Voyevoda has them both. Aleksey has been involved in many sports disciplines that are not strictly related to strength sports or athletics. He practiced karate, close combat, he took part in short running events and was a member of the Russian bobsleigh team at the Olympic Games. Aleksey Voyevoda can fight like Denis Cyplenkov, pinning his opponents’ hands to the pad, not giving them any chance to compete. We could observe Voyevoda in action during his match against the legendary John Brzenk. It didn’t take Aleksey much time to defeat Brzenk.
During his workouts Aleksey fights with three opponents at the same time. He has showed his skills in terms of power and endurance on the table many times. Although Aleksey has temporarily retired from armwrestling, we cannot cross him off the list of the best armwrestlers as he has already demonstrated how much can be achieved in this sport. The main thing is not to give up, move forward and achieve one’s goals.
And what about us? What can we expect from armwrestling? We can only wait for the return of Aleksey Voyevoda and hope that this man will change the world of contemporary armwrestling.
I think his comeback would cause a bit of confusion among some fans of Denis Cyplenkov and Devon Larratt, who actually have been the best so far. But will they still be the best?
