Step one - choosing weight categories for the disabled. Let’s all take a part!

Below are the weight categories to be accepted. On the 15^th November 2013 IAFD will validate weight categories. There’s no point in putting this away till next year. The categories will be deemed as “experimental” until the year 2016. Then some changes might be made if necessary. It’s all in our hands now!

Weight categories for the hearing impaired:

Female juniors (16-18 years): 55kg, +55kg;

Male juniors (16-18 years): 63kg, 70kg, +70 kg;

Women: 65kg, +65kg;

Men: 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg, 86 kg, +86 kg.

Weight categories for the sight impaired:

Female juniors (16-18 years): 55kg, +55kg;

Male juniors (16-18 years): 63kg, 70kg, +70 kg;

Women: 65kg, +65kg;

Men: 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg, 86 kg, +86 kg.

Weight categories for class ARM-1 – wheelchair-bound, seated fighting position

Female juniors (16-18 years): 50kg, +50kg;

Male juniors (16-18 years): 55kg, +55kg;

Women: 65kg, +65kg;

Men: 55kg, 65kg, 75kg, +75kg

Weight categories for class ARM-2, stand up fighting position:

Female juniors (16-18 years): 50kg, +50kg;

Male juniors (16-18 years): 55kg, +55kg;

Women: 65kg, +65kg;

Men: 60 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, +90 kg.
