It has come to our attention that one of the most powerful armwrestlers in the world might not get to Nemiroff, because of unexpected events ()
Even after a short chat we could see that Mher was very worried with his sposor – related troubles.
An identical thing happened to me just before the World Cup. I trained, I spent a lot of money and then it suddenly turned out I can’t go. Of course I’m disappointed. I looked almost everywhere for help, but so far nothing has come up.
Couldn’t the Federation help you?
I haven’t asked yet, but I doubt it. I have tried in the past and was always turned down. My brother helped me come to Gdynia. But he works as hard as I do, so it’s not easy for him.
Don’t you have some friends who could help?
It’s no problem to borrow money. I wish I had a real sponsor. Unfortunately, between being a member of Ukrainian national team and the Federation being of no help, I have to pay my own expenses.
What’s your advice to those, who seek a sponsor?
You always need to remember that a sponsor expects highest performance, so don’t issue empty promises.
What is Nemiroff to you?
It’s the best organized event of the year, with the best contestants. To win it is a huge satisfaction, knowing that all the hard work has not been in vain.
We all wish Mher for this kind of thing to never happen to him again. Good Luck Mher!
