There is a negative trend in Russian armwrestling now. After the last Russian Championship 11 athletes were caught on doping control. Some names appeared there is no longer the first time. It means that we have all chances not to see such sportsmen as Abdula Eldarov and Dzambolat Tsoriev near the table. They were caught on doping for the second time that means a lifetime ban from amateur and professional division. They will have no right to participate not only in armwrestling, but in other sports who cooperate with WADA.

"As usual, wrestlers arrived to the event, pulled a doping test, passed it and got a positive result. Now some want to open the "B" sample. But it is the same as the sample "A", you just pay the extra money. You should open “B” sample only when you are really confident or if there is no anabolic steroids in “A”. But these sportsmen had steroids!"- says Igor Mazurenko .

But the situation happened. But usually those athletes, who previously were disqualified for doping, returned clean and honestly fought on, or did not return to the official championships at all.

According to the organizer of the Russian Championship, President of the Russian Armwrestling Association, first vice-president of the European Federation of Armwrestling, Alexander Filimonov, the situation with the doping control at the Russian Championships stimulated international events: "There was no European and World Championships, when Russian sportsmen were seen on doping usage. Our armwrestlers are always present in the top three finalists, and logically, pass a test.

According to the decision of the Federal Service of the Russian Federation for Narcotics Control, we were obliged to hold such a doping control at the event, because in any discipline that is recognized by Olympic committee has so many positive doping tests. And we risked to lose a Certificate of armwrestling registration.

Now I want to warn everyone: from now on all Russian championships we will spend more doping tests. And at the European Championship this year will be held 80 tests. "

Dzambolat Tsoriev commented a situation with his positive result: "It is complete misunderstanding, I did not take these drugs. Especially when results say that they found not the drugs but its mark like I took it earlier. But this is not the end: I had a talk with my lawyer; we decided to open the sample "B". If I leave an armwrestling, I lose all my titles. If I had any doubt, it did not go to the competition. But I was sure of it! But now they are looking for marks. If I will be disqualified and I can no longer fight at the worlds or Nemiroff, it will be a huge blow to me."
