Oleg, how do you feel after the championships? I heard backstage that you’re having some trouble with your left arm?

Yes, I’ve been struggling with a finger injury for some time now. I was worried that if I push too hard, it will hurt more. But I’m feeling well rested after this week and am starting to train again.

And what is your opinion on the level of other contestants in the championships?

They were all high-level, even the less known ones were in great shape.

Are you happy with your performance in right hand?

I wasn’t going to fight in right-hand category, it was a last minute decision. I’ve got good genes, but I also have a troublesome wrist. And so, in order not to get injured, I had to give up my arm to my opponent; his wrist was stronger. But all in all, I’m happy with my results. I’m planning to work on my wrist more and fight again.

Do you do the same work on left and right hand?

I use the same workouts, just different weights. It gets a little more complicated when it comes to technique.

What are your plans for the future?

I want to get stronger, even a little (laughs). And I plan to start a lot in tournaments.
