The most important armwrestling events and plans for new year. ()
What was 2014 like for you, armwrestling-wise?
The first half of 2014 was a Great! I competed at a high level and was very successful. I won the Arnold Classic for the third year in a row and I was also very successful at the WAL Las Vegas. My training was good and I was able to stay healthy/injury free. The second half of 2014 was not so good. I lost my focus on armwresting and was more involved with my new business. I had difficulty managing both sport and profession. I still had some success, but not the kind I am used to having.
What were the 3 best events for you this year?
Arnold Classic, WAL Las Vegas and Game of Arms Season 2.
What were the worst armwrestling failures of this year?
WAL Chicago - after weigh-ins I got extremely sick! I had flu like symptoms and on competition day I was extreme weak. It was a mistake to compete that day. My second failure of 2014 was ARMWARs Vegas. I came in physically strong, but mentally weak and unprepared to armwrestle. I had been getting over sickness and I had also been extremely busy with work, therefore, I had no table training prior to the event.
Who would you nominate as the armwrestler of 2014? Any new faces, or surprises from old fighters?
I'm not sure who I would nominate for the Armwrestler of the Year...some much has happened throughout 2014. There are a lot of deserving pullers of this award to choose from.
What will 2014 be like for you - any training plans, or comtetitions?
2015 - I plan to compete at WAL New Orleans and then most importantly I plan to defend my Arnold Classic title for the fourth year running!
