Return of Alexey Voevoda is one of the most important things in the history of armwrestling.

No one who has been away for years, has ever been discussed as much as Alexey has been discussed. I have seen hundreds of threads and fantasy polls about him for near ten years even though we did not even know that if he would be back some day. So Alexy is a armwrestling story that the end of it has not been written yet. Lately i hear that he will be in october for a superfight after so many years’ of absence. We Had seen him training time to time with the athletes such as Matyushenko and Cyplenkov but He has been away from competetions for near 10 years already.

As far as i know PAL is planning to set Alexy against Tim Bresnan who recently beat Prudnyk easily 6-0. According to Tim himself he is in a great shape and he seemed to be in a great shape in Vegas event. So far we dont know so much about the shape of Voevoda but one thing is for sure that he has training partners strong enough to measure his level. Denis Cyplenkov has been one of the best superheavyweights in the world and i am sure that Alexy would be strong enough to hope for a win if he is already troubling Denis in trainings.

Alexy is a an Olympic Champion athletes in another sport discipline and he sure has tons of knowledge about being world level athlete. If we also consider how great he used to be then we can hope that he will be back around the shape that he was in when he left the sport.

So when we calculate everything together i see Alexey as the favorite of the superfight against Tim Bresnan. I am not saying that Tim does not have chance to win but i believe that Alexey has strength, table partner, experience, speed, intelligence and hunger enough to win the fight.

Tim is a unique puller who gave night mares to many of the top pullers such as John, Devon, Jerry, M.Todd, Travis and many others. His pronator is very solid and his wrist is very strong to be dangerous enough for Voevoda. Both pullers will go outside, both pullers have strong pronators and wrists but i believe Alexey’s side pressure will be his advantage over Tim. The only chance that Tim has is not allowing his pronator to be controlled by Alexey’s wrist. If Alexey can create the pronator-wrist coordination good enough then his pronator will keep Tim’s wrist busy and by this Tim will not be able to use his pronator as effective as he can. And once he can not use his pronator effective enough then Alexey will have beter chance to control Tim’s pronator and beat him with a side pressure. In my opinion there is no way Tim to have an easy day against Voevoda, it will either be an easy day Alexy or will be a nightmare for both athletes.

It is very hard to gauge any beter than this without knowing how Alexey feels at the moment but the guy is an intelligent guy who knows how to prepare himself and i would be surprised if he comes there without being strong enough to win.

Tim is agreat guy and i would love him to prove me wrong but score prediction is either 6-0 or 5-1 for Alexey. I wish the best to both athletes.
