The 100 kg category always gathered excellent rivals. At this year's competition also appeared after a break an excellent armwrestler from Romania – Ion Onchesku. Despite this, Vitaly did not give anyone a chance to even dream about the top of the podium. He won double! Two gold medals!
Vitaly, you have a lot of experience from previous competitions for the championship of Europe and the world. Is this year's European Championships different from your previous international competitions?
I have in fact been to many events, which I can compare with each other. However, these competitions were not special to me. Well, maybe except for a few complaints on refereeing.
You are clearly better than your rivals. You dominate! Could anyone ever threaten you?
At these events – I have to admit – I won easily, with each of the rivals.

After a long break, Ion Onchesku has returned to the table. Have you fought with him before? What can you say about his present form?
I had no opportunity to fight with him before, but the other fighters said that he was good - strong, smart and fast. At this championship we met in left hand. I had no problem to win against him.
How do you predict the results of the upcoming Vendetta All Stars?
I know little about the form of the participants in the upcoming Vendetta. I know that my friend Dmitry Silaev will fight and I will be rooting for him.
When and in what competitions will we see your fight next?
I will take part in the world championships and - if all goes according to plan - in the Golden Tur.
Would you like to take part in armfight series? And if so, whom would you like to fight?
For sure I would like to test myself, but now I'm probably too light for a confrontation with those giants.
