Rating objectively creates an overall picture of any sport. Actually, the results of all competitions can be called a rating, but what about armwrestling? The specificity of the sport makes rating system development pretty hard, so it needs to take into account all the features.

For example, we should start with the fact that the pound-for-pound rating, which is used in the martial arts, in the arm-wrestling is, in fact, the embodiment of a double-hand system. Is it logical to talk about it, if there are athletes who do not compete on both hands? A more appropriate it is possible to build P4P based on Unlimited class.

Unlimited class  in arm wrestling – it's a weight category in which it is possible to consider only the number of victories. Should we introduce a weighting factor in the development of P4P rankings in this class? Maybe yes. When athletes with the same number of victories compete for some place, the weighting factor can be crucial.

What about PAL?

In this chart different federations are mixed, there are athletes who have struggled at different times. PAL is necessary to eliminate the randomness and choose to build evaluation grid completely objective criteria. The new rating will include athletes of the same league. But there is one question – is it possible to place in the ranking those athletes, who take part in Zloty Tur, but not Vendetta? Top-8 system solves this problem very simply. That is, in order to come to be guaranteed in the PAL rating, you need to get to the top of the absolute weight class, and in a short time - and your weight category. Already after a few laps of Top-8 a full rating could be built.

Rating gives a plenty of opportunities for an athlete. First of all, it will lead to a sponsor and will allow the athlete to develop the marketing side of sport.

Qualitatively designed ranking system will be able to withdraw armwrestling to a new level and to motivate athletes properly.
