Magzhan always shows a beautiful fight and dignified behavior at the table. It was noticeable that he arrived in good shape, and he was set to a high result. He did not deny this fact:

"At this World  Championship I was very well prepared, my shape was good. In the fight on my left hand in the final I really did not have enough strength to win. Maybe the next time I would be prepared better. Still, it is a world championship, all the competitors are very strong. But I fought tooth and nail and put on the full".

Magzhan assessed the level of the tournament. He really liked the place that was chosen for the championship. Bulgaria's climate is different from Asian, but it seems that European weather was beneficial for the guys from Kazakhstan:

"I really like European weather. In Bulgaria we was in the park with an excellent nature, greenery, there is a very good, clean air. We all really enjoyed it, Blagoevgrad very nice city. Competitions were held at a very high level. I like organization, nothing prevents us to fight."

Category 75 was saturated with strong athletes. Magzhan spent many fights with eminent contenders:

"In our category of 75 kg there were 32 sportsmen, all participants were strong and all the fights were entertaining. On the left hand, as I said, I did not have a little strength for the victory in the final, where I struggled with the Armenian – Vrezh Sedrakyan.

On the right hand I was very tuned to the fight against Janis Amolins from Latvia, he is four-time world champion. I wanted him to fight, and I could have won him. In the semifinals, I met with the athlete from Georgia – Davit Samushia. Davit is a European champion in 2016, I also seriously prepared to fight with him, and I was able to win. They both are very strong contenders. I struggled on the right hand with Sedrakyan again, and won this time. It was the most difficult of my fights.

Among the other categories I remember category 85 kg, the fight Sasho Andreev with Spartak Zoloev".

Kazakhstan safely be called one of the most friendly and cohesive team. People always support and help each other. Even in such an individual sport like armwrestling, they traced teamwork:

"I believe that Kazakhstan had very good World Championship, our athletes have won several gold medals. I also want to note about our club - "Shardara Armsport". Our athletes has two gold, Shynbolat Rayhanov on the right hand in the 75 kg category and Nurdaulet Aidarhan in the category of 60 kg. This championship was all good for us.

Our team is ready to take part at Złoty Tour, but now I can not say for sure whether I will take part this year".

Last year, Kazakhstan introduced very strong team at Zloty Tur. This year we will also wait for a strong part of them, and of course, we would like to see again the fight of this talented athlete – Magzhan Shamiev.
