Dmitry took part in the World Championship in Bulgaria and showed a good result. Although he couldn’t say that his shape and preparation was perfect:

"My training was held normally. The only thing that hurt is a little discomfort in the elbow joints. I can’t say that I was perfectly prepared for this Worlds, many factors affected on me".

The place for the World Championship was good, this is also was noticed by Dmitry. Like many others, he shared his impression about the level of competition this year:

"World Championship was pretty good. Everything was well organized, like clockwork, the city in which the competition took place, is simple and quiet. And this is exactly we needed for such competitions. Prices for food were pleasantly surprising, everything was cheap and tasty. I can say that this World Championship was the strongest where I took part in. I came to relax and to pull well, and I think I got it".

After the last European Championship in Romania, armwrestling fans began to talk about the dominance of the athlete from Turkey Arif Ertem on the right hand. But in the preliminary matches Dima effortlessly defeated Arif. In the fight for the semi-finals Dima had lost, but there was an unpleasant reason:

"We constantly meet with Arif at competition, he is very strong and fast athlete. We have about the same technique of pulling with him.

In preliminary fights I won quite easily, but next time, we went to straps, I hit the table and almost broke my finger. When we pulled in straps I didn’t feel a little finger and I was not able to win".

There was not enough to win one time for Dmitry to become a world champion. He knows what he missed and he has a clear goal to which he undoubtedly will reach:

"I have not enough general fitness and experience for taking the first place. My rivals for the category are often much older and more experienced than me. Someday I'm sure I will be the first, and I will not stop until it reach the title of Honored Master of Sports".

World Championship turned out to be very rich and generous with beautiful fights. In addition to his category, Dima watched for others, and he pointed several interesting athletes and matches:

"I liked the match between Spartak Zoloev and Sasho Andreev. I really wanted Spartak to win and he almost succeeded. It was not enough quite a bit. Sportswoman from Brazil (Chris Souza) fought everywhere and shown a good result".

Unfortunately, due to injuries, Dmitry will not take part in the Professional World Cup Zloty Tur-2016:

"I wanted to go to the Zloty Tur, but I have a sore elbow joints after the competition. And finger injury in addition. I decided that this year I will miss this tournament. It would be desirable, of course, to take part here, but there’s no sense to go there weak".
