After the World Cup it's been some time. How are you feeling? You're the second time at the World Cup, and you have so successful performance. What's the secret?

– I feel fine. This was my second World Cup. In Malaysia, I managed to become the second in the fight on my left hand. The secret is simple - regular, persistent trainings. They are necessary also during the participation for the national championships, as in Kazakhstan almost in all categories we have medalists and world champions.

How did you get in arm wrestling? What do you pay more attention – fight or work with iron?

– I like armwrestling since childhood, and systematically do workouts for 4 years. I try to focus on fights, tech, and also work with iron. But so far the main work is focused on strength training.

In training, I like all exercises with free weights, because that is in control of the weight, so the strength too. Working with blocs I don’t like because it’s easy to get injured.

Was the championship fights hard for you, especially when compared to the previous?

– The fight was more difficult psychologically. I do not want to show a lower result compared to the debut.

Did you expect such results?

– It is assumed that I can pull successfully on the left hand, but I did not think I'd be in the top three on the right. The most difficult opponent was Vitaly Laletin. He is very strong and inconvenient competitor. I think I did all that was capable for at the time.

In the championship I especially remember how struggled Vrezh Sedrakyan and Magzhan Shamiev. Very beautiful and prolonged struggle. Cool fight was also between Gennady Kvikviniya and Levan Saginashvili. I am amazed by Levan’s power and Gennady’s fight skills.

In what events we'll see you in the future?

– Currently, I am getting ready to perform at the Zloty Tur. After it I’m going to fight to the championship of Kazakhstan. Also I plan to take part in Asian Championship.

Hopefully Georgiy will have to use his full arsenal and show a decent fight for a professional desk!
