The history of the Zloty Tur Cup reaches the year 2000. The first international cup for the Zloty Tur Cup had place then. The best pullers from Poland and Ukraine had taken part in the tournament. It turned out to be a Poland vs. Ukraine match but certainly it has become historical. In the first ever edition the cup went to Ukraine. Hrygory Bondaruk has been the winner.  

Today Hrygory living in Lviv has put arm wrestling to the side. He interlay absorbed by work and raising his three kids.

As an effect of personal problems (one of his kids has a rare bone illness which needs constant rehabilitation) he is working double shifts. He hasn’t had time to train for a long time.  

Although Bondaruk still has some good memories about his competing in Poland. He was the first to win the first ever Zloty Tur Cup which he wants to give back to the organizers this year during the 10th Zloty Tur Cup in Warsaw. He wants the cup to take a place in the Zloty Tur Club in Gdynia a real museum for arm wrestling trophies.
