"On the initiative of the City Sports and Recreation Centre and Physical Culture Sports and Recreation Association “Wybrzeże” in Kołobrzeg the armwrestling tournaments took place in Kołobrzeg for the first time. 20 competitors started at 3 classes, among them there were 3 women. The tournaments were dominated by the competitors from Choszczno who won all the categories they started at.

The 1st prize founded by  Polish Baltic Shipping went to:

As the redaction of armpower.net present at the tournaments I have to admit that the organizers rose to the occasion and carefully prepared the whole tournaments. The appropriate hall, stage, lighting and sound made the 1st Open Kołobrzeg Championships secure its place in the history of Armwrestlingu. I am sure that each participant of the tournaments will remember this place for long. The prizes founded by sponsors, which are not often present at smaller or first championships were on a very high level. Here, in Kołobrzeg there was nothing missing. Or maybe except for the attendance – but that is in competitors’ hands. We hope that the lovely city of Kołobrzeg will secure its place on the maps of armwrestling impression seekers.
