II Seaside Tournaments - Ustka 2010 # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

On Saturday the 14th of August the city of Ustka hosted competitors of the II Seaside Tournamnets organized by Marlena Wawrzyniak – the Strongest Woman in Poland and All-Poland Adults School Chain “Twoja-Szkoła”. Seven classes, where 30 competitors participated were played as a week before in Kołobrzeg. This time weather did not ruined planes and all people gathered by Baya Beach were welcomed by the sun. Referees panel that watched over the course of the tournaments were: : Judyta Lasota, Maciej Stelmaszyk i Andrzej Głąbała.
The rivalry began a 2 o’clock. The first ones at the table were men of the lightest weight class so up to 78kg for right hand. The undeniable winner was Maciej Stelmaszyk who pressed his opponents’ hands to pads in a flash. He beat Jarosław Grulkowski – a young but promising competitor of Złoty Tur Gdynia in the cup-final. Brave Michał Ożga won the brown medal disc.
Then was the 95kg class. After long and stiff fights Bartosz Jakubowski from Choszczno stood on the highest step of the podium. Wiesław Rzanny who showed his stuff took the 2nd place. Arkadiusz Dettlaff from Łęczyca who suppressed many more experienced competitors was the 3rd. At the heaviest +95kg class two well known fighters were trying to win for the gold medal disc: Artur Głowiński i Marcin Lachowicz. The competitor form Piaseczno, who was in a really good form, turned to be better. Łukasz Obłuski stood on the lowest step of the podium.
Next to fight were women for left hand.

Małgorzata Ostrowska from Strzegom won the gold medal beating Marta Opalińska in the cup-final. The third was Milena Morczyńska.
The emotions accompanying men left hand OPEN class were also great. Marcin Lachowicz, who met and beat Artur Głowiński for the second time that day, entered the cup-final with no lost. However it must be admitted that the cup-final participated by those two competitors was a really amazing and stiff show. The third was Wiesław Rzanny. And it is time for women again. Right hand now. Małgorzata Ostrowska entered the cup-final with no lost for the following time. However she was not the winner that day. She had to recognize the superiority of Milena Mroczyńska form Grudziądz twice that day. Marta Opalińska classed herself on the third place adding the next cup of these tournaments to her collection.
The last class is the most spectacular – men OPEN right hand. The surprise was not the make-up of the cup-final itself. The same for the third time that day. Marcin Lachowicz form Piaseczno and Artur Głowiński from Choszczno opposite each other. For the third time the winner was extremely well prepared Marcin, who fought a really gallant duel with Artur. Krzysztof Kubiak had to satisfy himself with the brown medal.
An after party in Baya Beach began at 9 p.m. A mini tournament for the beer box up to one lost was held. 8 first competitors willing to fight applied. Sławomir Malas from Arm Fanatic Sport Grudziądz became the champion.
Ustka welcomed and said goodbye accompanied by beautiful weather. Let’s hope it to be the same in Gdańsk at the final SeaSide Tournaments on the 21st of August. Your’re more than welcome!
