Extreme emotions, shocking settlements, adrenaline, and armwrestling on the highest level accompanied by beautiful, sunny weather by the sea shore – that’s how the final
III Seaside Armwrestling Tournamnets may be summed up. On Saturday the 21st of August at Gdańsk beach in Jelitkowo many titled and well known armwrestlers of the Polish and international field. There were high financial awards at right hand Open class and at the fight for the podium of the general classification of the tournaments. 45 competitors started at 9 classes. After all the organizational procedures were finished, well known referees’ panel: : Judyta Lasota and Maciej Stelmaszyk began the tournaments.
Children were invited to the smaller table at first. Girls and boys were fighting bravely at the table. Maybe it is their beginning of an armwrestling career. Who knows, perhaps they would reinforce the Polish armwrestling national team. They have already had the basis for sure, and the rest time will tell.
Let’s pass to the next class. Also the right hand
disabled class was held in Gdańsk.
Maciej Gralak ruled at up to
70kg. He did not give his opponent any odds and proved his international class.
Patryk Sinica was the 2nd followed by his club mate
Patryk Weterle from Choszczno. Those competitors joined lonely
Bartosz Jakubowski at
+70kg class. He met Maciej Gralak in the cup-fina. They fought off a really stiff fight showing a wide range of their skills. The one who came out tops was Bartek.
The next to be held was the
OPEN left hand class. At first 9 women appeared at the table.
Marta Opalińska from Arm Fanatic Sport Grudziądz stood on the highest step of the podium beating Her club mate
Milena Morczyńska in the cup-final.
Joanna Damińska from Łódź ranked 3rd. A record amount of women caused great emotions and unexpected results of the classes during those three tournaments. Men’s turn came. 17 daredevils applied for left hand OPEN class. After multiple fights
Tomasz Tański entered the cup-final. He beat extremely well prepared gladiator
Radosława Staroń from Ostróda.
Krzysztof Kubiak from Złoty Tur stood on the lowest step of the podium.
After those struggles the
rivalry for right hand was begun. It started with the lightest
-78kg class.
Radosław Staroń reached the cup-final with no lost. Radek showed his class and won the final duel with well prepared
Mariusz Chodyna from Piaseczno. A young competitor from Grudziądz -
Sławomir Malas ranked 3rd.
At a little heavier
up to 95kg class was ruled by two fighters from Choszczno:
Artur Głowiński and
Piotr Bartosiewicz. They fought 2 stiff final duels where Artur appeared to be faster and better. We will for sure see those two men in many matched fights at armwrestling table.
Łukasz Obłuski won the brown medal disc.

Marcin Lachowicz gave his opponents no odds. The second finalist
Tomasz Tański had to recognize the superiority of the competitor from Piaseczno that day.
Sławomir Szakoła from Szaki Club Żary stood on the lowest step of the podium.
The turn for the most prestige and best awarded
OPEN right hand class came.
Women began the rivalry. They fought many stiff and equivocal duels. In the cup-final
Małgorzata Ostrowska from Strzegom met
Joanna Damińska from Łódź. After a long fight in a hook, more experienced competitor - Małgosia turned to be better.
Marta Opalińska classed herself third.
The tournamnets were reaching the and while the time for the last class -
men right OPEN came. Men were fighting very tooth and claw for the main financial prize. Among 19 competitors 3 best ones were selected. The real fighter -
Artur Głowiński from Choszczno was the third. The best competitors for right hand:
Marcin Lachowicz and
Piotr Bartosiewicz met in the cup-final. After a internecine duel a competitor from Piaseczno was victorious.
Summing up the points after all three tournaments the general men classification was won by
Artur Głowiński who received the title of
the Seaside Tournaments 2010 Champion.
Marcin Lachowicz who took part in two of three tournaments took the second place.
Radosław Staroń followed him on the third place. After many changes in women classification two competitors:
Małgorzata Ostrowska and
Marta Opalińska finished up with the same amount of the points. After a draw a decisive duel for left hand was held. Determined competitors were lighting for the prize and title of the Tournaments stiffly. Marta Opalińska – the organizer’s (the Strongest Woman in Poland
Marlena Wawrzyniak) competitor turned to be better.
The nice accent was the arrival of TVN television, which we would like to warmly thank.
After the tournaments a mini after party competitions were held. This time there were 4 beer barrels to win. That night a Laser Show took place in
Banana Beach Club that made the after party really successful.
The Seaside Tournaments cycle came to and end. Let’s hope everyone to draw the best memories of those charming resorts lying by the Baltic Sea. We would like to thank all the participants, supporters and hosts. The ones who were absent should only regret! We congratulate all the winners and thank all other competitors for a great atmosphere and armwrestling on the highest level.
