In fact she’s the first international star among female and male Armwrestling players. So let the one, who know more complete, but as far as I’m concerned Snow-white was the first to change the country she was representing, taking into consideration as well men and women. It was for sure the first such change among women practicing Armwrestling.

Snow-white Babayev – (as she’s the one I’m talking about) first was the participant of the Ukrainian team, the country she was born in and grew up. Now we can see her wearing a tracksuit with a sign “Slovakia” and such an anthem we’ve heard recently while she was standing on the highest podium. At EuroArm2012 we liked Snow-white being cheered up by as well the Slovakians as the Ukrainians. It’s obvious that her personality makes everyone like her – that was of course visible among fans of many nations (especially men part of them).

Snow-white had, in fact, no choice – her elder brother is a sportsman and her younger one is too. So what to do? I wonder if her parents had also something to do with sport…

Snow-white, tell us what your beginnings of the adventure with Armwrestling looked like? Did your whole family has something to do with sport?

Snow-white: Not at all. Before Rustam took up Armwrestling our family was not “a sport” one. Our parents didn’t practice any sport professionally.

So who was the first one to take up Armwrestling?

Snow-white: First Rustam, then Ruslan and then I was the last one.

So you took a leaf out of your brothers’ book.

Snow-white: Yes, of course I did! They both were an inspiration for me. Not only due to their sport successes, but also as people.

They are both really good people, they are kind and friendly. A human should always be a human, as you can be a world champion today, and tomorrow…

How was that with you, when did you first saw Armwrestling?

Snow-white: When I first approached the table I got interested with this sport and I wanted to try. And as I started training “the appetite comes with eating”. This sport became close to me really fast and it’s so close that I can even say “I’ve got it in my heart”. First it was more like a hobby for me, and then professional sport, my job.

Thanks to Armwrestling you’ve met your husband, the Slovakian player - Lubomir Jagnesak. How did it happen? Was that at some tournament?

Snow-white: We’ve met in Poland in 2004 at the Europeans in Gdansk. We both were in junior class then. I was representing Ukraine and Lubo – Slovakia.

But tell us how did it happen…

Snow-white: He approached me and asked if he could take a photo with me. And that’s how it all started…

What are your plans for this season, where are you going to start?

Snow-white: I’d like to do my best at the World Championships and then in Poland at the NEMIROFF WORLD CUP.
Have you ever been to Brazil?

Snow-white: No, I haven’t. That would be my first time!

You have your own club, with your husband of course, in Slovakia. Do you have any wards you’d like to show off?

Snow-white: Yes, we do! Some of my student already win international tournaments.
