Armwrestlers talk about the past year. How do they judge their fights, which ones do they consider to be most successful? Let's read. ()
Today Oleg Zhokh, a "normal guy", as he calls himself. But ... is it "normal" to win the most important competitions in his weight class one after the other and to fight on equal terms with heavier competitors in the open classes?
After the Moscow tournament A1 our reporter interviewed Igor Akhmedshinem. Among other topics the expert talked also about Oleg.
Akhmedshin said:
The young competitor from Ukraine made a big impression on me. I liked the fights in his category and in the absolute category. Excellent physical condition! Good technique. I hope he'll continue to develop.
In Moscow also Andery Pushkar spoke with appreciation about his compatriot.
It's time to give the floor to the young competitor. How does he judge the passing year?
Oleg Zhokh:
2012 was the best year in my entire career. This year I achieved my best victories, which I even didn't expect. I'm still impressed by my performance at the A1 in the open class. This is my biggest success. I didn't expect that! I also won at the European and World Championships as well as at the Nemiroff World Cup. These are the biggest successes I achieved this year.
No, but you have to admit that there are some competitors stronger than you?
Oleg Zhokh:
Well, yes ... Looking at all my failures I am sure there are competitors stronger than me!
And who do you think is the strongest?
Oleg Zhokh:
I think Andrey Pushkar is the strongest.
Thank you for the conversation. Best regards! I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year on behalf of the Polish fans and competitors.
Oleg Zhokh:
The same to you! Best regards to the readers of armpower.net
