WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, MR. BLANCHARD? >>>

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, MR. BLANCHARD? # Armwrestling # Armpower.net

I do not know Mr. Alain Blanchard personally. Judging by his letter I come to the conclusion that he grew up in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. ()

Mr. Blanchard!
I really had a good laugh reading your text. Thanks a lot! You brightened up my winter evening. I hope that our readers will also “enjoy” it.
But first, let me introduce you to our readers. Reportedly, You were the first to register the domain of WAF. Reportedly, it was You who managed the Federation’s website. You cooperated with the previous Federation’s executive as a specialist in public relations. Who appointed You? Who, when and how employed you? Did you get your pay, or was it a voluntary service?
Why, acting as the “guardian” of the WAF website, did you stop performing your activities immediately after the Congress? Why haven’t the results of the fourth day of the Championship been published on the website? After all, in the WAF regulations it is clearly stated that the old board ends its tenure at the end of the year. Which means that the board still works during and after the championship. Why, finally, was Willy Deneumonstier’s letter of thanks published on the website, and not the information about the new composition of the board of the Federation?
Please, do not feel obliged to respond ...

All right, we are now proceeding to the current matter, that is the topic of the domain, our hit of recent months.
Alain Blanchard wrote to the President of the WAF Hadjitodorov Assen. I’m quoting the full text in bold type, referring to its subsequent fragments.

Mr Assen Hadjitodorov,

As In my previous letter to you dated October 1st 2012, I had given you the facts regarding the WAF website and how I owned the rights to the website. I had also asked that you kept the information in those emails confidential. I trusted that you were an honest businessman like you advertise in everything you do. That was my mistake.

Mr. Blanchard! WAF President was elected democratically, as a person to coordinate the activities of the organization! Privately, Assen may be a businessman, a doctor, or a teacher, but for us he is the President of the Federation. Don’t you understand it?
Secondly, if I were you, I would not question Hadjitodorov’s honesty. Seriously...

The information posted in the above mentioned article had specific information that could have only come from the email sent to you by myself.

Obviously with the article posted online on the “armpower.net” website dated November 2nd 2012, my request was not heard.

Now you are writing to me! Here’s my response: I acquired the “information” myself and used it to write the article and published it. For I am in a position to act like that! Is it that hard for you to understand?

I since then wrote again to you on November 7th 2012 asking you to have the article taken down as I did not see it as a fair portrayal of the facts of the situation and to this day have not had a reply from you nor seen the article taken down from the website.

The article will not be taken down neither now, nor in five years! WAF President cannot influence the editorial board of armpower.net! Where did you get this idea? I was the one who grew up in a totalitarian state with strict censorship, and not you, I guess...

I have also been informed that these accusations and slanderous remarks are being posted again on the armpower.net website and also being spread by Mr. Igor Mazurenko on social media websites. I am not sure why Mr. Mazurenko is involved in this situation as he has no title with the WAF executive or on any WAF boards for that matter therefore he should not even be aware of our communications much less being allowed to comment on them with confidential information.

Have you read the articles you are criticizing? If you did, you would know that you are not considered a party to discuss the matter with! And the articles present not only my opinion, for I spoke with many athletes, coaches, and people involved in Armwrestling about this matter.

In the article published February 12.2013, it is written that nothing has changed on the WAF website since the worlds in Brazil. The issue can be easily and quickly addressed with the following statement. You, as the WAF President have never contacted me to change the contact information for WAF, nor given me any instructions on what to change on the website. I have not received any information in regards to the 2013 World Championship in Poland.

How am I supposed to keep the information up to date without the help of the federation’s President? All I have ever gotten from you was a demand to turn over the rights to the website which I own. No attempt to discuss my proposal was done at your part at any time since my first email. Instead you turned to website articles and social media to air your frustrations to the public.

Assen’s frustrations! Thank you Mr. Blanchard, I can hear our readers laughing out loud while reading that bit. Are you not ashamed?

It has been published that not having an u to date website for everyone to see is an embarrassment to the sport and it’s athletes. How about these accusative articles and postings online which didn’t need to happen. How do you think that portrays the Federation and the sport?

They portray it in a normal way! Articles published on armpower.net clearly show that there are the media in our sport, which really care about the future and the image of armwrestling. Watching your actions, the media are trying to influence the WAF executive so that they take appropriate measures. That is the role of the media. I want to emphasize that I grew up in a totalitarian state with strict censorship, but twenty-three years was enough for me to learn the principles governing associations, government, and the media. Where did you grow up, Mr. Blanchard? In the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea?

Once again, I will ask you to please take down these articles ad ask Mr. Mazurenko to refrain from making slanderous remarks and tarnishing my name. He is twisting and manipulating the facts of the situation. I understand that this might be a political move, trying to get me to relinquish and abandon my efforts but it will not work.

Mr. Blanchard! You met your match! Mr. Mazurenko, the publisher of our website, grew up in an even more totalitarian regime than I did. And when he finally won freedom – he’s grown very attached to it!

This is my last letter to you asking to cease the articles and the propagation of lies against myself.

All right, I’ve had enough of reading this nonsense, I laughed enough!

The next letter you will be receiving from me if these lies are not stopped will be from my legal representation.

Let them write, let them send it, we are looking forward to that! And, as for these “lies”, we will settle a score...

I trust that you will take the appropriate actions in this matter. I am not looking to grad this along or fight with you, as I do not have the time or the willingness to argue from months on end. While I thoroughly enjoy being involved with the sport of armwrestling, I am also a fan. I wish you the best with your tenure as WAF President and I honestly look forward to seeing the changes you promise to make to bring the sport to the next level. Best regards, Alain Blanchard

You "WERE“involved with Armwrestling” Mr. Blanchard! When everyone learns about your idea of selling the website, you will be too ashamed to turn up at any event. There will only be TV left for you (paid TV)!

Dear Readers!
I allowed myself to add my comments to the letter. Below you will find a balanced, calm response given by Hadjitodorov Assen, the President of WAF.

Dear Alain,

First of all this problem is very important for all WAF members and I consider it should be public. I don’t have secrets from our members.

Nothing personal, but we are WAF and every member should know the true about WAF site.

I told you that WAF site is property of our organization and can’t belong to a person, no matter who is he. It is not serious the web site of  any World federation to belong to a person.

How we will prove to Sport Accord that the information on the site is true if they see that this site don’t belong to WAF?

I don’t know? who gave you permission to register it on your name. Are you WAF?

It is time to solve that. My opinion is that you have to return the domain to WAF for free,

Otherwise we will register new site that will belong to WAF 100%.

The opinion of European and Asia federations is the same.

I ask WAF executive board, when we have voted that Alain will be the owner of our site?

About what Igor write on his site , you can contact him directly, I am not his mediator.

Best Regards

Assen Hadjitodorov

That’s the end of the next episode of the WAF’s story. To be continued.
Read it with a smile, don’t feel too worried about it. Assen and the “new WAF” will certainly deal with the situation!
