Seven incredible stories that tell us what possibly can or cannot be... ()
New Year is a time of fairy tales and exciting moments. At this time no one wants to go about boring business. Holidays are there to distract us from everyday maddening stuff. To lighten the atmosphere we propose to you a new series - «What if...». Seven incredible stories about what can or cannot be. Participants in a star-interview are invited to answer seven interesting questions. Through the prism of their responses you can draw conclusions about their moral principles, values and practices. So, our first guest is Sergey Tokarev.
What if people learned to cultivate superpowers, what gift would you like to have?
First of all - teleportation, or cloning of a loved one, because many times I need to be in several places at the same moment. In reality I often have to develop what seems like a supersonic speed to catch up with everything. And I would like to learn how to read minds - a very useful thing in our time.
What if you could become a hero of one of the literary works, who would you become?
I'd like to be the hero of Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist" . Somehow he reminds me of myself: a man from the province, who walked half the globe just to understand a simple truth. What he sought was right where he began his journey. This story may be close to many of us. In life, we often look for what we think is necessary in other countries on other continents. And then it turns out that the object of our quest was next to us all this time. But the path traversed in search of truth is not walked in vain. It tempers us and makes us who we should be.
What if you could become the president of any country, which one would you choose?
The one and only - Ukraine! The position of president may be free soon (laughs). I am a patriot. A good or bad one – I do not know. But as they say, away is good but home is better. Ukraine has a very great potential, and “potential” is my middle name (laughs).
And what if you had a genie, ready to fulfill just one wish, what would you wish for?
It's hard to pick one wish, because the consciousness is frantically trying to choose between world peace and Iphone 5. One is global, the other private. It's difficult to do something in the name of others, when we also need things for ourselves. I probably would ask for dreams to come true.
What if you can go anywhere for a few minutes, where would you go?
To the future. I would see how people live, where has time led them. It would be interesting to see which armwrestlers reign in the world of sports. 35 Tsyplenkovs in the TOP-35 in the year 3999 - that would be smashing! (laughs).
What if you had the opportunity to compete with any three people on Earth, who would you choose as rivals?
It would be interesting to fight with young John Brzenk. To experience the heroic power, see how good he was in his youth. He recently said that he has forgotten a good half of what he knew in his best years. I’d also choose Putin and Medvedev. I wonder which one is stronger (laughs) .
What if there was a chance to see the world through different eyes, whose perspective would you choose?
I would rather choose to read thoughts – with great pleasure. I wonder about what all those who surround you keep in their heads.
