As it was in qualifications, there were no shocking surprises in semi-finals and finals. The favourites won their medals with little emotions. However fihgts in lower weight categorise were more emotional than in higher classes. Exceptionally dramatic was a fight in 65 kg category. Zokhar Meximov from Turkey met Oleg Tcherkasov in it. The fans loudly supportet the Turkish. Nevertheless he was unable to beat Tcherkasov.

A semi-final fight between Tsvetan Gashevsky and Kaloyan Tumbek (both from Bulgaria) in 80 kg category was ramarkably hard and exhausting. The winner and the finalist was Tumbek. In the heaviest category Ferit Osmanli, who had been the favourite, was third. 
Esra Kiraz fought a spectacular fight in woman's 50 kg category. As it was in the left hand competition Lucia Debnarova, representing Slovakia, easily won the final fight against Turkish, Arzy Kuslar.
In team competition the first was Russia (54 gold, 56 silver nad 39 bronze medals), the second Turkey (23,21,21) and the third Azerbaijan (12, 19. 13).
