Recently we could see him in armfight # 43. Harold "the Viper" Owens faced off with Janek Żółciński there. He lost, but did not take it as a failure.
- I feel that I am a stronger player than Janek, versatile. I have to train harder. I know I can be better – he said in an interview for armpower.net, immediately after the fight.
How is he doing these days?
- I train with two partners a week - says Owens. - Training for me is like breathing. I have to train regularly.
In practice i apply the most focus to speed and down downwards pressure. I am training a lot of lat pulldowns to create a massive downwards force.
His favorite exercises are weighted pullups and rows.
- When pulling up, I usually start with a 45-pound weight (about 20kg) and try to work up to four weights at once - says the armwrestler. - When I row, I start with one such weight and work up to 8, with 6 - 8 repetitions per set.
Currently, Owens is preparing for the USAA National Pro-am and AAA Nationals in July 2016, and we wish him good luck!
