ANDERS AXKLO: “THE ARMWRESTLING WORLD HAS BEEN LONGING FOR FREEDOM” >>>

Anders Axklo was one of the busiest people at Rumia last week. There, he was not only the Master of Ceremonies and at the Championships, at the Golden Tour and at TOP 8. His voice added dynamics at the competition and organized the show. But also Anders coordinated the whole of the IFA World Championships and the first congress of our new organization. Now he briefly assesses the competitions that have just ended. ()

Hi Anders! Write me a few words about your assessment of the World Championship. Just from yourself!

"When we realised that we had to take the step to start IFA to give the armwrestlers back the control of their sport, we knew that a World championship in 2019 was absolutly necessary. People want to armwrestle.

With 6 months from registering IFA in Switzerland we managed to create a world class event with 32 participating countries, and over 450 registered competitors. It is really beyond what we could hope for, and a clear indication that the armwrestling world have been longing for freedom. The congress decision to place next years championship in Florida is also very exciting, finally bringing the armwrestling world back to North America has been long overdue. It is a great time ro be an armwrestler!”
