On the 11th September, 2010 in Kłodzko Fortress (Twierdza) Gallery the Kłodzko Land Open Armwrestling Championships - Kłodzko Fortress Gallery were held for the first time. " Organization of this tournament was taken up by Martin Zawada, together with SSC Black Scorpion Przyłęk and the main sponsor of the Klodzko Fortress Gallery tournaments.
Competitors of both sexes had the opportunity to face in 9 weight classes: Senior (70kg, 78kg, 86kg, 95kg, 95kg and Open), Women (Open), Junior and Children. There was, of course, also VIP class. 52 competitors including the ones from Jaworzno, Wałbrzych, Bedzin, or even from Koszalin came to Kłodzko
As the first children class was played. In which unbeatable was Przemek Błocki from Dzierzoniow and he stood on top of the podium. Jacek Stecyk ranked second. Last place on the podium was won by Kasjan Ferenc.
Then Junior Open class was held. After very a fierce final fight with his teammate Cyprian Załoga, the one who finally triumphed was Gregory Kizik from Black Scorpion Przyłęk. Przemyslaw Lewandowski from K.S. Pierwszego Będzin took third place.
Senior classes was started by the 70 kg class, with a scored , very good start of Przyłęcki Scorpion Jakub Urbaniak (won this weight class). Second place went to Greg Kizik, and the third to Tomasz Flaszewski from Będzin.
78 kg class was also downgraded by the competitors of Black Skopion Przyłęk, which was triumphed by Luke Bogusz, just before Karol Bąba. Marcin Struś from Herakles Wałbrzych had to enjoy the third place.
In the 86 kg class, the winner of the first place was a competitor of Herakles Wałbrzych Rafał Woźny, who has recently been in excellent form. Łukasz Grzelak from Będzin had to give in to Rafał, being eventually placed on second place. Last place on the podium was won by Michael Ozga, who represented the Ostry Strzegom club.
More severe class of 95 kg was unexpectedly won by Sylwester Kowal from Black Scorpion Przyłęk who overtook, a very tight final, the president of the club from Przyłęku - Marcin Zawada, and third place went to Grzegorz Mucha of Herakles Wałbrzych.
The heaviest + 95 kg weight class was fairly easily won by Mariusz Grochowski from MCKiS Titanium Jaworzno. Tomasz Pelczar from Owiesno, who represented ranked second the club from Przyłęk, overtaking Marcin Lorka Martin ofromf Dzierżoniów.
Before the most spectacular classes - Open Women and Open Men, the VIP class was held. Zbigniew Piotrowicz turned out to be the strongests. Second place went to Awiżeń Mirosław, and the third to Łącki Adam.
In the Women Open class a competitor from Ostry Strzegom Małgorzata Ostrowska was unparalleled leaving Joanna Hrabia from Herakles Wałbrzych behind. The third place was occupied by Elizabeth Junak. Also the director of Kłodzko Fortress Gallery - Elżbieta Sobolewska took part in this class winning the 4th place.
Men Open was the last class of this event, you have been waiting for (and particularly the female part of the audience, as the competitors struggled without T-shirt in this class). After stiff fights, especially the final ones, Rafał Woźny, who recently amazes us all with great results, won unexpectedly. In the cup-final Rafał defeated the Polish armrestler - Mariusz Grochowski from Jaworzno. Also Łukasz Bogusz from Przyłęk, who managed to win the third place in this very prestigious weight class scored a really good performance. The winner and the silver medalist in this class, won the stay at a spa resort in Zieleniec and Kudowa Zdrój. In addition, all three medalists won very interesting material prizes.
The event was a great success and hopefully next year it will be just as successful as this one.
