Armpower: What is Nemiroff World Cup tournament for you?
Maciej Gralak: This is a tournament where head competitors from all-around the world come and the best of the best in this sport may compete. Whereas, the start in this tournament is nothing but a great mobilization for each competitor who is a professional armwrestler, also for me.

Armpower: Is this your first start at this event?
Maciej Gralak: So far, I have participated in Nemiroff Cup as a spectator and supporter of Polish competitors, being impressed by their preparation and skills.  I will debut in the Professionals’  World Cup as a competitors. I am very pleased and I feel extremely honored to be able to represent my country at such a beautiful event.

Armpower: What do you think of rivalry with the best competitors in the world?

Maciej Gralak: As far as a rivalry with the world’s best competitors is concerned I have already had such a possibility. I took part in the European and World Championships. I make the most of it at every tournaments. My desire is to win and gain medals. I do not know whether I can achieve that at the Professionals’ World Cup, but I will fight with all my strength. At Nemiroff Cup there will be the best competitors of the world representing their countries. Here you should be afraid of everyone and pass up no one.

I think my better, stronger hand is the right one, but I do not know how it is possible that the most success and most medals I won due to my left hand. And how will it be at Nemiroff Cup, it will turn out in November.

Armpower: Do you follow any proper preparation training?
Maciej Gralak: I train 5 times a week, three times typically the Armwrestling, and twice a week general and development training. I train such weights to perform whole series of 8 to 10 movements. I train with my dad and brother who are very helpful and I thank them for it.

Armpower: Any special diet? Supplementation?
Maciej Gralak: I am on a balanced protein-carbohydrate diet that allows me to maintain a constant body weight. It contains a lot of meat, fish, rice, etc. and consists of five meals. In addition, supplementation of amino acids, vitamins and minerals (amino, glutamine, BCAA, HMB, glucosamine) everything from Fit Max company.

Armpower: Who do you think will win the left and right hand rivalries of the open class?
Maciej Gralak: I think the left hand open class will be won by Denis Cyplenkov. His strength, muscles, and as far as I know of a technique, that he has recently perfected, is so great that it puts him as a dead cert candidate for gold in the open class of the left hand. Whereas, regarding to the right hand, to me it will be won by John Brzenk, who proved to be unbeatable for many and blessed with a phenomenal technique, and he is the one to defend the title of the strongest for the right hand.

Armpower: Do Polish competitors have any chance to win a medal?
Maciej Gralak: The Polish national team contains a lot of talented competitors even world-class ones, but it is difficult now to predict who has and who has not medal chances. This is a sport and a chance for a medal is the resultant of many factors. I am sure that each of the Polish team representatives goes all out now at trainings and later on the cup. My favorites are: Grzesiu Nowak and  Darek Muszczak.

Armpower: What can you tell Polish fans to encourage them to watch Nemiroff World Cup 2010?
Maciej Gralak: Nemiroff World Cup is the biggest armwrestling event in the World. This is a unique opportunity to see the world's armwrestling stars live in Poland. Among them there are representatives of our country, so you have to be there and cheer for us, and when the opportunity occurs to see the wonderful, professionally organized event. There will certainly be a great strength, adrenaline, sportsmanship, and great emotions.
